Kevin grew up in Angleton, Texas. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in finance. In 2004, Kevin joined the Corporate Finance group of Simmons & Company International, a Houston-based energy investment bank, where he focused on the oil service, midstream and downstream sectors. While at Simmons, he gained strong transactional expertise while working on a variety of engagements ranging from small-business sell-side advisory to multi-billion dollar public offerings.
In 2006, Kevin joined Blue Sage Capital, where he was responsible for evaluating, structuring, diligencing, and financially modeling small-business control-equity investment opportunities. He also performed industry research and financial analysis in support of portfolio investments. Over a six-year period, he advised, and worked closely with, the senior management of each of these portfolio companies. He developed a reputation as an advisor with an unusually strong combination of analytical skills, people skills and business judgment.
Kevin enjoys reading, hiking and the great American outdoors. He also is an active musician with multiple album credits as both a performer and a producer and is a voting member of The Recording Academy, which celebrates music through the GRAMMY Awards.
